Wow, very good.

What speed does your card run? Core and mem?

Cheers,

That was done at at 530/381 and the 3/800@3.875GHz.

I have to get the first bench in quick before the card heats up. The Vapo holds off the power to the board while the TEC cools the 9800 below Zero. It then boots and I quickly ramp the 9800 and run 2001.

Once the 9800 gets warm its harder to get near 24k. These babies love being cold.

Cant wait for Winter :)

Just think, a few months ago I would have been top of the HOF with that. Talk about the technology race.

Wow! Great score for unmodded card.

I'm celebrating too - this night almost hit 23k (without phase-change/TEC or anything either;)). I've got 22986 after v/modding my card (540core/380mem). Card and cpu cooled by one watercooling system with cold water (+7-+10C).
Vmem done this morning but i haven't got ice for watercooling any more... So didn't bench it with max gpu & cpu clock. THough now it's stable @ 390 mem (chips are really hot - no heatsinks on it)...

Thanks :)

Just the Swiftech MCW50-T 80W TEC jobby. Works a treat as long as things are cold. The Aircon I have here now sorts that out nicely.

Its great to see all these 4Ghz+ P4's below me on the ORB, especially as my 3/800 only goes up to 3.9. I have a 2.4/800 arriving on Monday so it will be nice to see how it does.

I really really want to vmod this 9800, but I really really dont want to bust it. Im good at Soldering and have a pretty good elctronics background (Used to build and commision closed loop automation systems), but this is my money im playing with and I cant RMA this baby if I fry it (AC3 Epoxyed Ramsinks).

Ill try it. :) I do have grabbers though. But your way sounds nice and simple.

One thing though, I have looked at the Vmod guides on these forums and studied macci's and Fuggers pics but they all seem to have hard soldered wires onto the PCB. Do you have screenies of the vgpu and vddr mods ?? Nice clear easy pics.

I see this one but its a soldere job :-

Thanks for your help m8 :)

Brett. Afaik, it's almost impossible to burn card with Vgpu and Vmem mods. It's Vddq and Vref are the dangerous ones...

Master Chief. TNX :)
I've heard that 3.2 have to be as good as 3.0 and other P4/800 are, but i found mine being even better. Though I have eng. sample from Intel Ukraine with unlocked 12, 14 and 16 multipliers, so maybe stock ones are worse, dunno. But mine can run 100% rock stable 3730MHz @ 1.55V (stock voltage) aircooled and is able to run any tests on 3800 with watercooling (actually ghetto waterchiller - i put an ice to reservoir and water temp is about +10C, so CPU is +20C). It works in OS up to 3900 on that cooling but get BSOD in 3DMark with my R9800 (R9500 could run mark @ about 3850 pretty well). CPU goes through POST on 4100 but even do not try to load WinXP. I really really need vapo or prommy (waiting - my company just became the first reseller of Vapos in ex-USSR, so i have to wait 3-4 weeks for my Vapo XE) now, hope it will help to break 4GHz stable and maybe even more.

Nice one :)

Im actually chasing you atm with my setup in the sig below. (but benchable at 3.92) I have a MCW50-T arriving tomorrow so will attach and see how far the pelt helps. The speeds in sig are benchable, but dont look very nice on the eyes ;)
heheheh

Once again, nice score

HEY NICE ONE BRETT!!!!!! :D

Its going to be a little harder now I rekon, but I am picking up an IC7 today and also will install the pelt so maybe some big things from me in a few hours :)

Also could u tell me what Control panel to use with the drivers you linked to your ftp pls the other day? I used them and installed the normal 3.1 CP and upon rebooting my pc was chugging like a dog.....so I just went back to the 3.2 drivers.....any help would be appreciated :)

It's the right way for fx, but haven't really been able to push it. However, I think the Radeon will still be king in OC
