Hi,
I plan on getting an evga 8800 gts and this tv tuner (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16815100015) which utilizes the pcie-X1 with a p35-ds3r. Will both items fit without obstructing anything (e.g., southbridge?)?
Thanks.

No one owns a p35-ds3r and not utilizing any pci ports?

I can tell just by looking at it it will be fine. The heatsink on the southbridge isn't any higher than the PCIe slots. The height of that little sink should come out to be about 14mm. The PCIe slots should also be 14-15mm (based on my measurements).

The 8800GTS works fine on the DS3R (goes right over the southbridge). There are two free PCI-E X1 slots after installing the card, so you should be good to go.
