win32k.sys - Fault In Non Paged Area

STOP: 0x00000050 (0xFFFFFA8004EB400 0x0000000000000000 0xFFFFF97FFF17EF04 0x0000000000000000)

Any ideas?

EDIT: I think it may have something to do with a resampling plugin for Winamp.... I think I had the kernel precision set to high as one of the options.... Although I am not sure

I have memtest stable for like 24hrs, brand new ram...its definately not hardware it also passes Orthos 30hr +...... no errors anywhere, so it leads me to software...and yes its SP2 x64 fully updated.

Its only happened when I have music playing to my recollection.....I will see how it turns out, thanks for the reply though gilllll

any other input would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance.

i have seen something like this, when a driver was non acpi complaint and was going "sleep" and crashing the machine.

If it happens in winamp, run a game in the foreground (mute the game) and winamp in the background, and see if it still happens.

If it doesn't the look for bios and driver updates.

If it does then please add a run of 3dmark to your stability tests 6 hours +:)

Can I also check what sound card you are using, and if you music is on a network or from your local pc?

resampeling bsod as u said ,means something within the sound card is disturbing the kernel too much. can be hw but i don't think so because it doesn't happen often and u do use your soundcard.
driver issue or software issue.

which plugin ? which winamp ?which sound card ? and which drivers ?

anything before the bsod or after it on log viewer ?

Not entirely sure, however seems I didnt have enough vCore, I forgot to set Orthos to priority 9...... when I set that it failed CPU stress...

Glad that it worked out ok!

If you ever get an error code like that, try looking it up at Microsoft's website. That is where I have found my answers for that.
