Mine is full of dust particles and other crap after using it for a some odd 3600 hours (5months)

I called Razor and they said, well the operator/support agent said to use rubbing alcohol with a lint free cloth or cuetip and then let it dry for about 24 hrs.

After asking about cleaning the inside areas where the dust particles have gotten, I was told opening the unit will void your warranty, which is when I asked about the mod kit and how that would according to what I am hearing would void the warranty.. the response I got was yes it would void the warranty. But I was also told the mod kit explains how to dissemble the copperhead so then I can clean the insides..

so my question to you guys who own the copperhead, how do you keep it clean and how do you open it up to remove dust particles?

Until someone with a Razor answers..

I have a Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse. The scrolling wheel got stickier and stickier.. I just knew it was gunk inside that had to be the cause.

After reviewing information on the web, I decided I would voluntarily trash my warranty (no other way to get it cleaned).

As it turned out, the screws were in two locations-- one, underneath the teflon pads it glides on (two of them) and the other two were located under the sticker under the mouse. The sticker was the type that if you removed it, it flaked off (so it apparently is a "warranty is voided because you removed this sticker" protection).

After getting inside my mouse and cleaning up the gunk and cat hair...

BLISS!!! The scrolling wheel was like new again, giving the very satisfying clicks as I rolled it around. Was worth it for me.

What did you use to clean it?

Didn't need anything special.. just anything I had on hand (tiny mini-screwdriver to pull out cat hair/remove gunk that I couldn't reach)... didn't use any liquids... it was all dry so I removed the dry gunk. Very easy to do.
