Hi sorry to create a thread about this but I have been messing around with vista for the past week and I decided to do some bench runs last night. at 3.8 ghz and 8800gts clocked at 660/2100 (see sig for system)
using forceware 160.04 I was able to get an average score of 11,250 3dmarks (423x9) ram @ 523mhz / 4-4-4-8
this is less than my high score of 11,600 at 3.6ghz and ram running lower (400x9) 1:1 / 4-4-4-8 using Windows XP
Is vista really that bad for 3d benching or is this a driver issue? Would 4GB of ram help? should I have memory remap on or off?
Can someone recommend a good Forceware vista 32bit driver?
any tips for benching in vista? i tried to turn as many processes off as possible.
