I cannot fold as much as before...

Seems like my rooms circuit breaker cannot handle everything on in my room at once.

So when I am in my room I will have to turn off my 2 folding rigs. When I am not I can fold full bore... BUT the worse news is that I wont be working too much for a while so I will be in my room alot...

I guess my next project will consist of me stealing some juice from my basement (my juice just different breaker). Not something I wanna do. I may just relocate my 2 folding rigs to the basement... another thing I dont want to do.

 no- -no

Well that kinda sucks. But hey at least you have enough stuff to actualy have to make a move like that. I only have one rig that I fold, seti, game, everything on. ;)

You could do that, or you could consider replacing that particular breaker - with the same rating of course. The reason i say this is because breakers go bad with age. The room with my computers is on the same breaker as the bedroom next door, and it use to run just fine with everything running and recently it started breaking easily - well, we replaced that particular breaker and we can run just as much stuff as we used to and it will still pop when we overload it.

Thats a good idea but... Befre when the breaker was new all it took was one old air conditioner to trip the breaker. Its only a 15amp breaker. My room is the furthest from the breaker box. And its possible that the wiring is ancient too. Seems that with the 93f heat here today the a/c would let up even when I set the temp at 75f.

Yeah, the wiring would be my next guess too...
Damn AC's, they always bring my machines down too.

Well good luck, hope you get your problem resolved and some equipment down into the basement.

You better hurry, I turned off the AC in this room and turned on another folder, so I'm getting closer and closer :)

Ok my sister has taken delivery of her new 1.2g athlon rig... I built it. So that takes one comp out of my room but still the breaker isnt happy.

I will setup one comp (my ex main rig 1800+) in the basement under the ruse that it is a music/movie server... that should solve most of my troubles... once I grab a 50' cat5 cable.

Then I can whip together my intel rig for 1g of celly folding power... man this is getting tough. Before I had no time to build computers now I have no way to power them! The irony.

On the circuit box for your bedroom, the actually level/switch has the number of amps that breaker handles/limits. For my entire apartment I get a modest 15Amps, ideally I'd like more, because I have to shut off my AC when trying to use the microwave/toaster, but for day-to-day stuff I have no problems.

Same kinda problem here. My entire place is on 2 circuits. So, with my 5 rigs running there can be no AC :( Also, can't really add any more rigs as juice is just about maxxed.
One day, I'll do a little service upgrading.........I'm sure my landlord wouldn't mind free electrical work :)
