It's ok Luke, you don't need to pay money to me :D, I would rather you give that money to people like Duniek who have supplied you with the parts for building.

The main thing I want is for you to do load tests on the units, and either way rebuild or pack them and send em out, this is your main priority right now. I definitely don't think you should be having any holidays to Italy at this time. Working on those units costs you nothing but time.

I wanna ship at least your units before leaving Victor, that`s why I`ll work today all night to make working ST1, loadtest it and pack on pallet.

And I`m sure that it`s leakfree, I tested each stage for few days to be sure.

It will set a wall between you guys that can't be removed ever.
I'm not saying this because I know Luke in any way. I don't. He and I have never spoken. I do know some of you guys. Some prople here that I call friends and my heart is with you but you will not solve this by accusations and threats. Work together to solve the problems and you will see results.
Maybe not in the timeline you planned orginally but it is better than the name calling that accomplishes nothing but to releive some inner stress.
I'm not commentling as a mod, just as another member of this forum.

I couldn`t add armaflex tape and mapp gas, like in deal, because I was out of money. So in package you have:

-brazing rods
-Danfoss cut-off switch
-R1150
-3 cpevs + Danfoss TXV + another TXV if I remember correctly.
-some insulation
-plate HX

If I will remember what is more in that package I`ll write.

I tried to run that compressor and no luck. I have about 10k btu rotary at my workspace, but I`m not sure it will be enough to be ST1 compressor.

I think that compressor on ST1 is dead :| Now he doesn`t want to work, just "bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" and breaker is cutting power supply.

I have two options:

1. I can use smaller compressor (about 9-10k btu instead 17k btu) now, install it, vacuum, fill, calibrate.
2. Send to Duniek not working compressor, wait for another one, strong as old.

1 option has big minus, ST1 with this compressor can be very weak, with 250-300 W load on ST2 head it couldn`t be stron enough to keep low temperature (enough to condense R1150 without problems).

2 option - we just have to wait, on friday I`ll be already on bus to Italy. So tomorrow I would send compressors to Duniek, to have new one at house when I`ll arrive.

So we have to decide, we will do it once, but good, with waiting for strong compressor OR we can do mess with weaker one.

If I would choose, I would wait and finish everything without any stress. You know Victor how expensive and long is shipping to China. I don`t want send anything not tested 100%, and you don`t wanna receive not tested and not 100% sure stuff.

I know that it will be next waiting time, but we have to think reasonable in that case. I know that you will miss next shows, but it wouldn`t be better to show to everyone really, in 120% perfect and working unit ? And finish all deal with smile on face instead on being angry that something isn`t working ?

As you can see, monster is, we can say, completed. You have photos that there is big progress, VGA stage is cooling. You can be sure, that your money were spended on unit, not on "wine and girls" :)

It`s only my opinion of course.

However, everybody will have to wait this few weeks for everything, I`m trying to complete and pack all stuff before leaving, but there is small chance that I`ll be able to send everything before trip (but I`m trying !). If everyone can wait, I can promise, that units sent after trip will be much better than shipped before trip. After trip I`ll be free and will give all my heart to finish in the smalles detail all stuff and be sure, that it`s perfect. Then all deals will be finished !

I wanna ask everybody, all my customers, to post what they think about that. It`s important for me...

For me it doesn't matter very much, it is just better if you store with gasses in for a while so you can see if there is minor leak(s) which will cause failure later :)

The hourly rate etc looks better than back there but cost of living is more! Loads more!

i'm a business man and I never had such bad experience in deal.
if it's in COMMERCIAL world, process would be like this:
1) pay u 30% deposit after order confirmed.
2) 50% before shippment (shipping on time)
3) 20% after 1 month reciept.
but if u delayed >1week, you have to pay 0.3% per day.

A taking one order at a time principal for a one man firm working as a 'hobby' is a must (if it is not a out and out, profit making, sole income), this should be so off all builders claiming it as a 'hobby'. Taking on 4-5 orders and not completing any of them and running out of money (having taken payment) in the process leads to one needing to find a new hobby at the very least.

I hope you guys can find a solution to all of this. The whole thread has been educational to us all, I hope that Luke learns from it, it seems he is trying, but circumstances are difficult due to past delays..

I talked with guy who is organising this trip. It will be month and week, or month and two weeks.

In the worst case I`ll be back on 21 of september, so it will be 44 days. 6 days for finishing and shipping, I don`t wanna dissapoint you and f**k the deal one more time, so give me 16 days of work. So we have 60 days. I have got 2 weeks after arriving to finish and ship it.

And about shipping, I`m not sure that I`ll be able to pay for shipping. I know that there was some money in whole unit costs(for work), but it wasn`t be enough even to pay for half of shipping costs. This is the 3rd time, when package came back to Luke. In his words...i have not seeing any proof of that, so i dont know what is the troth of that. And i really wonder why post office cant explain why it came back, in Finland there is always an explanation with it.

I'm talking with Luke before his trip to Italy. He will be in Italy 5 weeks. It's 7x5=35days. He will earn 5euro/h. If he work 10h per day, 6 days a week he will earn 5euro x 10h x 6days x 5weeks = 1500euro. Of course, if he will work as he said. If he will working 8h per day and 5 days a week he will earn only 1000euro.

But remember - he must go there and back to Poland, sleeping in some bed and eat something - it costs.

I never regarded Luke as a unskilled builder or a person i couldn't trust. What happened is really, and i mean... REALLY sad, but i'm not willing to spend more money in this unit - beside i'm just not able to it. I'm going to move to be able to study and, as a part of my life, i need other things to bench with. Making a big "2" in front of this 4 digit letter is simply not possbile.

I'll wait what will happen. Luke wants to build this unit and not another person to do it. I recently drove more than 500 kilometers to get a special CPU and make my point of view within the "discussion" with the seller absolutly clear - read within the lines. So about the cascade... we'll see. I trust in Luke's skills, but i know other persons who could do the job.

Time will tell.

... Symphy is a nice guy, really, i DO think so (:P), but if someone is dangerous to his work, which he really loves, ... ... ... run or get serious.

To be honest, i'm proud of everything my team and i reached the last months. We're not playing within the WR spots, but we have fun and we're always trying to get better. And, by god, we're getting better. I can see it as i get better feedback after (nearly) every session. We always keep our heads up, and if someone of us can't do so, the other member just try to help him. Five years ago i was afraid to mount a mainboard - i'm serious. Right now i'm proud to have scored sub 10 sPI, having been at Cebit, seeing all those people standing in front of the stage and clapping hands... and so on. Why i'm telling all this stuff? Right - because something like this issue can destroy so much work you do or did in the past, that it's just not acceptable. I'm speaking very freely here, but i'm sure at least some single persons can really feel what i'm trying to say with my bad english. I do not "cry" because of every problem; persons who know me better know that i'm willing to fight for every inch. And i will do it in this situation. I see Luke's problems, and i will try to be fair until i can't anymore because of the fu*c***g fact that i'll need either the WORKING cascade or the money when i really need it.

The unit shipped too late is useless.

I couldn`t add armaflex tape and mapp gas, like in deal, because I was out of money.

Really Victor you can`t wait one month ? Just after arriving to poland I`ll install compressor and ship it. Not 2-3 months, just 1 week after arriving to poland and monster will be shipped.

Shipping to China this unit will cost around 700euro I quess, I even don`t know if I`ll get that money after all month work in Italy.

I hope that we get compensation for these (old) rotaries, for starters they aren't going to get anywhere near the promised -65 degrees celcius at load, and they're loud as a jet engine, only useful for some small benching nothing more!

Also the money you get better not be the extra which I paid luke for shipping like 2 months ago, that's for shipping units only nothing else, as long as everyone understands that I'm not paying luke to give all to other people.

Cruise`s, Symon`s, Albert`s auto-c are, I think, completly rebuilded, need to buy insulation and oxy bottle for torch. Don`t wanna use mapp gas anymore.

Kizmo`s cascade, as I talked with him, he can wait. Good for me, cascade is done. Only calibrating.

Masell`s cascade, whole story about this "deal' and this unit is funny. But, I talked with him, we will solve that problem very easly. And the unit will be builded. Nice build.

Symphy`s 3 stager. I started this build and I`ll finish it. And be sure, that on next CeBIT this unit will rock on party.

Pansuu`s package, tomorrow will try to get cash back from postal. We will send it by courier. With everything inside.

I got mess with my gas supplier (Messer). I`m renting two bottles, Methane and Etylene. At the beggining I payed about 8 euro/month/bottle for rent. Now I`m Paying 25 euro/bottle/month, for few weeks...I tried to talk with Messer company in city next to me, but they don`t know why (Can you imagine !?) so I have to contact with central messer company. Don`t wanna pay those money anymore.

Or maybe it`s normal situation, longer renting = more money for rent ? I supposed it should be longer renting = less money.

Yes, it is changed. I had enough gas to braze suction, for discharge, not. For sure this compressor works.

I did better oil separator for yoto`s cascade, I need oil return valve for it too.

Compressor finally mounted, brazed and now, vacuuming. Electrical connections done !

Don`t have R404a at this momment, so today I`ll do some tests with R290 on ST1 :) Hope to see nice ST2 temperatures today, finally !

*I’ll get a fully refund BEFORE 1 march, fully refund is 800,- nothing less….

Use a credit card (luke), I have a single income, and a family I have no issue borring $$ of my house loan to purchase thousands of dollars of stock to build units.
Ppl can apply for loans its easy. The ppl he has taken money from, im sure will say they dont have spare cash laying around to give away to ppl for free and expect nothing in return.

Luke i have spoken with runmc, and i think its fair to customers that all units be finished by Christmas, other wise you should be refunding ppl. In the mean time apply for a loan and get this issues sorted, units build with pictures of results using load testers and then we can get back to a happy forum and remove such threads as these from XS.

You say: probably a refund. I don’t think its probably…. A SS whiteout a case for 800,-? I’m not falling for that. I want things way more clearly with you on this forum.
If I get a SS there’s going to be a refund, there’s no probably then.

A SS is good, I would be very happy if I saw something after all. But in case of a SS you have to pay me a refund like 200,- before 1 January 2008. And I’m sure reasonable for you on that. A ghetto leak free SS isn’t worth 600,- but you’ll lucky on that.

I’ll hope you can confirm my offer? You react two times, and both times you aren’t clear and concrete. I want a concrete reaction from you, what your going to do and in witch way your going and when you’re going to do it, to solve this problem in a concrete way.

I hope you know its not a game for me. Ill have plenty other options to get something done, but I think it’s the easiest and nicest and cheapest way to get a compromise in this situation. Don’t see this is a threat..

Just a small personal comment:
I know most of the issues here from LOTS of reading, but take some advice from someone thats been around a long time. The nicer you communicate with one another, the better this will turn out.
40 years in the workplace has taught me that.
I'm not saying don't be upset, I'm saying control it and you'll(all of you) will do better in the end..
Hehe, I now you’re here to help and you don’t choose any sides at all. My reaction was maybe a bit harsh against you, but that’s probably I didn’t take enough time to react.(English is a bit hard for me and it takes me ages to write a good reaction, that’s the mean reason why I only read on XS and don’t give reactions :yawn: ).

In the short live I had so far, I learnt as well that a nicer communication gets you mostly of the times a bit further your right on that. But in this case….
I’m not accusing anyone, but this thread is 17 pages !!! and in three months were not a step further. Until now I didn’t see any concrete plans how to solve the problems that been created. And until now it has been a nice thread I think, but costumers didn’t get a step further.
After a certain while people get tired of waiting and broken promises. And at that point I’m currently and I think other people in this thread are to. I don’t say it’s good to react the way I do, but I don’t see an other way to clear the problems on a nicer way. 17 pages of nice talking didn’t done the trick so far.

Masell, okay. But there is one, small problem.

You know that your unit was fantastic, elo, pro and so on. It was builded, didn`t worked because of fu%%cked compressor which you send to me. Condenser which you send to me didn`t work too, because it was leaking. The design of building all HX UNDER the unit caused problems. We had to buy bottle with R14, bottle was the most expensive. You complained when I had to buy oil separator, or extra insulation, because you wanted cascade for 400euro or less. nd I had to listen that complains and wait days for small amounts of money. I had a lot of work to make design which you wanted, HX under unit. I known, that I will cause problems. And it caused.

About those things you will not write here, right ? You only can write, that I`m bad guy who has your money. Nothing else.

IN PM to me few weeks ago you calculated all costs at about 2450PLN, last transfer was for "my work", at last, 300PLN. It`s my money. I can send bottle to you, I`m not sure how much we payed for it. 200PLN ? I`m not able to have it on my own.

I added to that project a lot of money, of my money, because we wanted to do everything cheapest possible. And I was tired of asking you about 50-100pln amount of money for insulation, armaflex glue or something. Because you payed me in small amount of money, for each parts. Once for that, week later for something else and this build was so slow by that. However, it was done in 2 months, but because of not working compressor it was delayed.

In this case, 1950PLN + I`m sending this crap (not working compressor, condenser, few scrappy copper pipes, bottle) which you send to me, to you. AND + 130 for suction and evap, which I forgotten to send you couple months ago, so 2080PLN.

I added to this project a lot more than 500pln.
