I am actually impressed.. hats off to Asus for designing a useful board that doesn't feature a ratnest of heatpipes. What's the cost though? $250?

So is it just the P5K Premium, but for DDR3?

I don't get it though. Why bother getting this board when the X38 is right around the corner, has dual x16 CrossFire support along with PCIE 2.0 slots, and DDR2 and DDR3 compatibility too?

Eh, it all depends, I haven't seen any "official" release dates for X38 boards yet...and I plan to upgrade in August...sooo I'll buy whatever is best available then.

Nice board. Think I'll wait for it to mature a little though.

Agree, its nice to see some more sane amounts of the copper and heatpipe madness. The P5K3-Deluxe is just nuts.

There's no need for the water cooling, even during Xtreme overclocking. It's just a fancy feature.

How good is that included SupremeFX II audio card compared to a X-Fi XtremeGamer?
