After being attacked from the West Side of the Atlantic, music trader AllOfMP3.com has finally been shut down, but not by those who have pointed their fingers towards it, but by the Russian Gouverment. After a few desperate attempts made by RIAA, the Russian Federation has finally acted under the pressure of being left out of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and took the site down.

It's called www.MP3Sparks.com now.
So everything is fine for user who want to get cheap mp3s. Even the VISA payment works again.

Well this whole debacle just shows how much influence the media conglomerates have over the US government. Its sad that very few people reacted to businesses directing USA foreign policy in such a obvious way.

allofmp3 stopped taking payments a long time ago... thier sister site alltunes still does, and apparently mp3sparks is around now too. Russian government will never shut it down as long as it is corrupt, it has to shut the sites down not from external pressure but because it believes they are wrong and becasue it truly wants to take a step towards respecting property rights.

I mean, they enforce property right of musicians once, then they rob oil companies of billions of dollars. Russia will never climb out of the gutter with such corrupt people in power.

And our US government is not corrupt. We actually are controlled by the oil and music companies and they seem to have more power over our government than voters themselves. Now that is truly sad.

For me it looks more like this:
AllOfmp3 pays the needed fees to the russian collecting society (ROMS). So it's business is legal according to russian law. That was proved several times.
Because of the lower wages their fees are lower, too.

What I really don't like is: All big companys move the jobs to the cheapest places and buy their stuff where it is cheap. It's called globalization.
When I want to buy music where it's cheap - "they" tell me it's illegal, "they" even stop VISA from executing my money transfer to AllOfmp3.
So it's just another point where you can see who ist allowed to win through globalization and who is not.

the artists don't get paid. (not to say the RIAA pays its artists, the riaa people should be thrown in jail as far as i am concerned) When i say corruption in russia i mean they don't respect any sort of property laws. Not saying america is perfect but america holds 90%+ of the patents in the world, as it's one of the few countries in the world that respects ones property. Thats why america is still the richest country in the world (in terms of it's citizens, now that our government is in a deficit) it is one of the only places where citizens are free to keep what they create. Aside from rediculous tax laws and socialist redistribution of wealth that has been going on since the 30's, it's still the world's benchmark, which is in many ways sad.

It is becoming quite rediculous, 90% of voters were opposed to immigration bill, yet the vote was almost 50-50. Politicians it seems are more likely to be bullied by other politicians then they are to listen to thier voters.

i agree with that the lobbyist's throw more power around washington then alot of politicians, but what motive do they have for something like the immigration bill passing?
