I find an Old 2.00 ghz pentium 4 socket 478 and was wandering if it's good to make an overclock.
The problem is that the motherboard I have is an asrock p4 combo that has nearly no option for overclocking in the bios  . The only option is Hybrid Booster - Safe Overclocking that this proccesor does not support  .
Is there another way overclock it :shakes: .

Yes! you can try Clockgen or FSB Set Tool but with your Own Risk!

If there aren't any clocking options in the BIOS than they only way you can go about overclocking is by using software level overclocking. Using programs like Clockgen (http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php).

I would like to ask you if there are more risk to damage the processor using software way??

There's a certain amount of risk to any overclock. But, if you monitor your temps you'll be fine. Usually the computer will crash before any long-term harm is done.

You can pin mod the chip. Theres guides available, but you connect pins using conductive silver or fine wire to set a voltage (vcore).

there is No damage for processor with Clockgen or SetFSB Tool
only monitor your temps and dont let it to run over 70C
ClockGen is more friendly than SetFSB ;)
Some report of boot Failure after SetFSB!!
