A friend asked for a gpu card recommendation, for office work.
Found this at newegg:

EVGA 128-P2-N431-LX GeForce 7300GS
128MB 64-bit GDDR2
PCI Express x16
Direct X9
Open GL 2.0
Active cooling

$43 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130044) shipped after rebate.

Rebate offer ends TODAY, 30 June.

Thought it may be of interest to some.

There is also an MSI 7300LE for $34.99 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127273) available, no rebate necessary. It will still be available after today.

- The EVGA 7300GS has a fan, core clock is 550
- The MSI 7300LE has passive cooling w oversize HS, core clock is 450

I have a box sitting, with two of these, that arrived yesterday with some RAM.

Just thought I'd throw out another option for those looking for cheap(ish) PCI-E VCs.

sweet to bad im not in the states. the LE would be a good choice for crucnchers. i also found yesterday that you can get a shappire 1650pro with 256mb ddr2 for $49 after rebate on the egg. it will totally spank the 7300gs but thats only if your gaming.

Yeah, that is a very sweet deal. I'm not a gamer but I like good sheeeeit. However trying to watch the budget and maximize crunch punch. So, no extra eye candy for me.

Still, wow, $49 bucks. Nice.

it should i know people have used 1600xt's so i think the 1650pro should. and these are the 7300gs cards we are talking about stevil not the gt's and the 1650pro will spank a 7300gt as well. the best deal i have ever seen tho was when the x850xt was on for $50:slobber: no rebates. another good deal is the 1950 pro for $106 after rebate :D that would make a nice f@h card:D and it would game well to:D

I have the OC'ed 7950Gx2 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (still kicking the 2900's arse) :D I was just thinking I need another PCI-E card for the E4300 to get it going and if it will help F@H till WCG gets a damn GPU client made then might be worth the $20 or so extra.

if i were you i would get that 1650pro. heck of a deal.

i just got my used 1950xtx and man is it nicer than my 7900gt. while the frame rates may not be allot higher when running 3dmark06 it seems so much smoother. and in games it's a world of difference. and the image quality is higher in everything. i can finally play supcom without almost any lag. next up to dump this P4:D
