Catalyst 3.4
3DMark 2k1 = 15,650
3DMark 2k3 = 4,862

Catalyst 3.5
3DMark 2k1 = 16,009
3DMark 2k3 = 4,909

this is with my 9700 Pro

strange getting a higher score in the 3.5's considering that ATI took out the shader optimisations (cheating), the same as nvidia did.

yah thats only true for 3dmark 2003, the scores for nature were lower than cat 3.4, but the other 3 were higher

Do an uninstall of your current drivers first, then uninstall the ATI control panel.

Reboot, install the display drivers first, then the ATI Control Panel after another reboot. If you have problems use Driver Cleaner.

I like the new Cat's so far, installed this afternoon no problems.

this is what i do,

control panel > add/remove programs

uninstall the control panel, uninstall the driver, delete the ati folder.

install the new ones and you're set.

Agree with Drozdov - I also delete the ATI folder before reinstalling. I never have any problems installing the ati drivers.

nothing very exciting over here on my end.

wings of fury improved by a whole 3 fps, that's the biggest change.

I'm still gonna keep em installed, I'm sure real gaming performance might be improved

i saw a drop on 2k3:

cat 3.4 = 5252
cat 3.5 = 4973

- 279

and an increase on 2k1:

cat 3.4 = 15011
cat 3.5 = 15327

+ 316

stability wise ,same as before : good so far .

i dont know about you guys, but catalyst 3.5 = crap. I tried it out today and a lot of my games took a huge performance hit. I just finished unistalling 2.5 and reinstalling 3.4. What a disappointment:mad:
