Or is this right... I'm just barely breaking 20K with a amd @ 2.8 fsb @ 216 and a r9800 @ 460/380..
sorry no compare link right now...

It just sounds really low.. I'll run it again to try and get a compare link for better ideas....

Thanks

Hi guys:)

First thing thats affecting your scores most is the fact you're running WindowsXP benching with AMD systems.

WindowsXP kills your FPS in the bandwidth dependant games of Car and Lobby by a substantial margin..while being equal in Dragon and Nature.

A switch to Windows2000, SP1, DX8.1 or 9.0 and the 6207 drivers could see your scores increase by 400-500 3Dmarks or more without changing anything else.

Another hint at increased bandwidth, which in turn will increase your Car and Lobby scores is to make sure you have APIC(Yes...I don't mean ACPI) enabled in the bios when you install the OS. Many of us longtime AMD benchers realized this simple fix a few years ago when the option was made available in the bios.

Good luck and happy benching !

Thanks Randi for the reply and tips. I'll have to try the apic trick. I like xp too much to give it up so i may just have to dual boot. Lord knows that 320Gig of hdd space should be plenty for the both of them... :)

Thanks
