Alright - so i ordered 4 of those 1gb Ballistix modules for my m-atx gaming rig, and wouldn't you know - they work fine as pairs of 2 (so do my firestix) but as four? Hell no.

For spec's sake:

Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R
E6400 @ 400x8, TR U-120 E - Yate Push-Pull
8800GTS
Liberty 500W
4x1GB CAS5 Ballistix 1066

Any ideas what i can change for timing's sake? Usually the system reboots a whole bunch of times before kicking off, and here's the timings that "auto" sets

High Speed DRAM DLL Settings (Option 1)

CAS 5
RAS to CAS 5
RAS Precharge 5
tRAS 18
tRRD 3
Rank Write to READ Delay 3
Write to Precharge Delay 6
Refresh to ACT Delay 42
Read to Precharge Delay 3
tRD 5
tRD Phase Adjustment 0
CPU GTLREF Ratio Control - 0.636

Volts are as follows:

Mem - 2.2, CPU 1.55, G(MCH) +.1, FSB +.1

So, any ideas guys and gals (where, but rare.) Thanks, and i hope i can get this stable!

set everything to auto at first except required volts.then try and tweak.

That's what i was doing in the first place, but with no luck behind it.

Running 4x1 ballistix, see sig for further system details... memset timings attached (although I still suspect that Write to precharge and tWTR are being incorrectly reported. I know tWTR on my system is 11)

Actually, i let the system sit overnight, than reboot and added the extra 2gb in the morning... works flawlessly. Wtffles? lol.

^ Pretty much. This motherboard REFUSES to soft restart when overclocked - i have to physically cut the power and wait a minute or two

Otherwise, 4x1GB, 1000, CAS4 is go :)

The one thing that i wonder though, is what the hell does that "Performance Level" setting do? After all. mine sets to 8. It seems lower is better for this, or higher?

Edit 2: Performance level goes up, performance goes down. Set it to 5, and i gain about 400~ mb/s! in sandra
