I'm building a C2D setup on behalf of a friend, and being an AMD dude have had to do a fair amount of research, but I've hit a wall when it comes to memory. Being easily o/c'd, most threads concerning memory purchases for C2D seem to lean more towards DDR2 800 speeds, whereas I don't see much of a point in going beyond DDR2 667 since this system will not be o/c'd. I've read the x-bit labs review (http://xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/core2duo-memory-guide.html) concerning different speeds for C2D, and it was a good start, so I guess what I'm after is some recommendations for DDR2 for a C2D setup where o/c is not concerned. How does Kingston ValueRAM or Corsair value select weigh up? 2GB DDR2-667 kits weigh in around AU$100, with some pretty loose timings, though. This memory will be used in a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 board. Thanks in advance
