I was just tweaking the OS out, to stop running process that i dont use and need that take up memory space and i noticed that while in the resource monitor there are 2 windows sidebars running ? I have only the one that was on the left whe ni installed Vista so why are there 2 ? both taking up 50mb of ram.

I decited to end 1 and my main bar went away with all my gadgets i had and then another one behind it was there with no gadgets but 1 on.

I dont understand this ? So then i decited to add my gadgets back onto that bar and then check the processes again and now 2 sidebars are back ? I dont understand ? I really dont want something taking up 50mb of memory if it doesnt need to be there.

Also how do i turn off this blocked startup programs and Windows security Alerts on the bottom right ? I figured i just had to msconfig and turn off the security center but its still there when i reboot. ??

gooooood morning, the security center needs to be turned off in services, just press the windows key and the r button @ once and a new window will pop up, then type services.msc, in the new window u need to scroll down to the security center entry and @ startup type select disabled. i remember using this tweak like in xp and it worked. hope it does.
