Hi everyone..

I've a pair of 8800GTX and assuming that I can't overclock my gpu higher because the shader clock limit, need to know what's better in 3DMARK 2001:

Higher Shader Clock and Lower Core/Mems
or
Lower Shader Clock and Higher Core/Mems
?

I think it would be the latter but I've never tested personally.

Assuming that your 8800GTXs come with the stock 1350MHz Shader Domain clock, and that you're using Air Cooling / WaterCooling on the cards, it's not the S.D. clocks limiting your overclock.

What's better in 3D Mark2001 ? A balance, as high as possible GPU with the highest possible Shader for the GPU clock and mems at their max ( limited by a bit when running full Core/Shader pair )

Just wondering, what is max shader clock?

I edited my bios from day one to 1512MHz shader clock (575/1512). There is very little improvement in fps in games and 3dmark06 and 03.

It doesn't lower your overclock. Test it and see the difference by yourself.

Find the highest GPU clock and then tweak the shader clock. Shaders have little importance in performance compared to main GPU clock.
