I know that you would have to have the 1700+ with that JIUHB stepping or whatever, but what would be the best mobo? I know kunaak uses the 8rda but I think you have to mod it to get a higher multiplier than 12, I think. So what would be the best mobo that wouldnt require any modding for OCing? Best ram? Best air cooling? Just wondering. Might get a 1700+ setup next month, instead of a planned P4 2.4c. Kunaak said his 1700+ benched better than his 2.4c oced.

NF7-S rev2.0 requires no modding to get 200+FSB. best air cooling? thermalright slk-800 or 900u. Best ram? i'd say corsair.

the NF7-S V2.0 is a pretty good overclocker out of the box. some people prefer the 8RDA because the mods are pretty easy to do. for RAM i really like Twinmos stuff, but Corsair is good too. i'll agree with chris and say the best aircooling would be the SLK800 or 900.

good recondmendations from chris4521 if you where to buy a new board and memory, but I think your A7N8X with vdd and vdimm mods would be worth trying first. :)

Oh I remeber you other post now ! Yea if you want to try another mb then the Abit would be my first choice. I would hold off on getting new ram though and see what you can do with your XMS PC3200 on the abit as it offers a little more juice to vdimm than the Asus does.

good point Major!
you could also hold off on the XP1700, you may even be able to push your XP3000 higher on the NF7-S V2.0.

I would go Abit v2.
Twin/win, Corsair 3500 or OCZ EL 3500.
Swiftech mcx462+ (newest revision is 92mm and cools better than the Thermal Rights.)
The Epox 8RDA is going real cheap here in UK atm (£62.53) and is a greta board but ive heard better things about the Abit.
Memory, TwinMOS with Winbond chips is good stuff.
