Xp no longer showing dual core?

Recently I had to run a repair on my xp install and now it no longer shows up or works in dual core.. pictures below should help.

Also it no longer sais acpi multiprocessor pc where it now think its an advanced power configuration pc.

That's called a "HAL". You should be able to change it in windows. ("Update Driver' "Install from list") Sometimes that's sticky though. But give er' a try. On a clean install. When you are prompted for sata drivers. Press F5. If you are installing sata-raid also. Press F5 and F6. then scroll up-down to select your "HAL". I'm none to sure about the intel processors but I know for AMD Dual Cores the correct HAL is "multiprocessor ACPI".

I just ran a repair 4 times and windows finally got it right.. Thanks bro, the f5 may come in useful later on.
