I need some RAM that will do DDR500+ with decent timings and voltage that's not too extreme. What do I get? I'm stuck between getting the OCZ Gold, the Corsair 3700, or the GEiL Golden Dragon. So confusing... Which will get me the performance I want at the lowest price point out of these?

Or is there any other module out there that will get me to where I want to go?

the only one of those ive ever seen get that high is the ocz gold, so it's your best bet!

Geil has always liked high vdimms.

The corsair iss probably still using bh-5 or ch-5 since it is only rated at cl3. Corsair has been known to use very overclcoked modules as well in the past.

The OCZ is the only proven one in the group, and seems to do best at volts around 2.8v

What system AMD or Intel ??

Alot of the new PC3700 is optimized for the Intel CW and SD mb's

If you building an Intel system I would say the OCZ or Geil would be good choices. Corsair just introduced their XMS 3700 a couple of days ago but I have yet to see any results.

AMD you should try some Corsair XMS PC3500 or Kingston HyperX 3500 but your not going to get an AMD to 250mhz fsb unless you run it Async. ;)

For a intel system, i would get OCZ gold 3700
And for a amd system Twinmos-winbond bh5 / a-data bh5 :toast:

yeah i have a P4P800 and my OCZ gold runs great with it... would suggest it

runs fast without modding the vdimm, just run it at 2.8v or so and you can get some pretty fast speeds
