Trying to flash vga BIOS!!!

i have a Powercolor Radeon 9700 Non-Pro. Ive been trying to flash its BIOS to no luck. Ive read thru countless forums and whatnot to try and find a good guide. Can someone help me? Has anyone succesfully flashed and unlocked a powercolor R97NP?

dunno if this will hep you or not, but i started a bios editing article a while back, and never finished it, been too busy reviewing other stuff, but hopefully one day i will get around to completing it fully..

Id keep a PCI video card on tandby just incase you hoze the bios.

ive needed a backup a few times whe messing about.

Well, i got it working. Had to work out a few bugs tho. At first my R9700NP was detected as a R9700P with a core clock frequency of 148 MHZ! After some tweaking i got her up to 355 core/290 mem. Huge Perf. Increase! The flash wasnt working before because of some corrupt files. Thanks to everyone for the help!

core doesnt get higher? replace the cheap crap under the heatsink with some good suff like arctic silver or ceramique, that should give you at least 30mhz+

Actually, i got the core up to 373 mhz, but the sliders in Rage3D Tweak arent big enuff to go farther!:cool: But my mem is still chugging along only at 283 mhz, hopefully some ramsinks will get it up to at least 300 mhz(rated speed, 3.3 ns):rocker:
