Just wondering how many out there have gotten this. I requent a forum where this guy just walked in with a screenie of a 4K run and not much to back it with. Said it was done with air too. Call me to damn cinical but it's just hard to believe. Especially since his screen shot shows a ton running in the task bar and a ton of icons on his desktop.

I did a google search and a search here and come up with nothing.

Whaddya think. Am I just a d*ck and should give the guy his props or does something smell funny.

it is possible, but air cooling would mean GOOD aircooling

thanks Jason. That helps a lot.

I also forgot to mention he said he was running 2.95 on the mem. It is just so hard to believe.

I find it also hard to believe, he needs to show us some more proofs

Doesn't seem like he's used to proving himself... keeps saying that it upsets him that people don't believe him. ;) I say if you are going to come up with a number like 4k, then you should be honored that people are soo interested and provide enough proof to satisfy everyone.

That is a good way of putting it Jeff. I agree though. He should have more proof. Actually too his first screen shot link is no longer valid. And that video he took was all fuzzy. So atleast I am not the only one.

BTW thanks for diggin up the screenies guy's. I had a hard time finding them. Still though no 4K.

Wish I could have seen that 4K screenie. Tried to open the link and it wasn't there.

On to a possibility of getting 4K. If running at 255 fsb then it might be. Best I could do was around the 3900 at 250.57 x 11.5 with 2-2-2-11 timings. Using bios rom 10 on NF7-S. That was with sound and usb enabled as well.

If Abit were to release a better bios than the 14 dud (at least for me). We could test the theory out.

yeah I don't know what happenned to the screenie. I figured it is possible, but just tgought it weird for someone no one knows to just come in and say "Hey I got 4K" with not much to back it up.

Plus has anyone seen pc3200 do 255fsb at 2.95v?

ive not seen any memory @ 250 with cl2, no matter what voltage.

I installed windows @ 250 2/3/3/6 on single channel....with a corsair 3500 3.08v

wow! 250 with cl2 and still not 4gb/s?

AMD systems don't report as high bandwidth as INTEL systems do on SANDRA mem bench.

250 FSB would give a theoretical max of 4k at 100% efficiency. Since the best most AMD rigs have done is 98% efficiency, you'd need a minimum of about 255 MHz FSB to hit 4k...

Thats exactly what I think.

Ill never claim an OC without some decent screenshots and if possible a 3dmark run to back it up.

Ive never got very close to 4k, I think the highest ive ever run was 240 and that was only 3700 odd
I cant bench anywhere near that any more i think my memory is going off.

Sandra is very CPU based as well, so you would need a big CPU clock to make 4k.

sorry shray!:p:

so where did this guy go? He hasn't come back since he first posted the benchmark, and then took it off his server. Too bad I wanted to hear more. 4k with pc3200sync on air was a nice story!
