well, the title says it all.
i have 2 cpus. 1 is a 2400+AIUHB and the other is a 1700+ jiuhb.
my 2400 ran @ 225 without a hitch, but my 1700+ is running @ 208 now.
the board is a NF7-S 2.0 w/ twinmos 3200 (winbond chips)
bios is 1.2, since the 1.4 official is crap.
sorry, my timings have always been 2,2,2,6@ 2.9v.

ive heard of a guy who got 220ish fsb speeds with his 1700 and then changed it to a 2700 and it wont run over 205 or so.
he changed the procs some times and the 1700 just got higher fsb speeds.

That's usually the way things go...the higher clocked 166 fsb cpu has the problem, and you have to cut a L11 bridge (I think) to trick the board into thinking it's a 133 fsb part to get high fsbs.
However, I did recently read of the reverse problem, which is what this sounds like. It's still a motherboard problem, not a cpu problem. I'll see if I can find the thread.
EDIT: Can't find the damn thread. But I've never yet seen a cpu that couldn't take whatever FSB a mobo/memory combo could throw at it. So I seriously doubt it's your cpu.
EDIT #2: Funny as hell, I couldn't find the thread searching, then it happened to be right up top on the AMD forum. There seesm to be conflicting results as to whether this works or not. It's basically the reverse procedure so you go from 133 fsb default to 166 fsb default chip.
