Now then what a day.
Firsly, Mt GeiL Golden Dragon RAM didnt arrive :( wont be until Tuesday.
Secondly, got a duff mboard, wont boot up at all, frozen @ FF on the POST LED, and then just beeps away.
Project is now on hold :(
Have to wait until I get new board, I think I will get the IC7-G this time or the IC7, which I previously ordered.
What a day :(

I have tried the 9800 in my other P4 rig, and it works fine. got me extra 2000 3dmarks on stock :D
This board isnt even attempting to bootup, just fhrozen on FF.
Yeah classic error that, completely useless. As FF is either serious error or perfect boot, genius :D

Why dont you just get a 2.8 or 3.0G CPU?
a supercooled 2.4C will just max out your mobo. With a 2.8 or 3.0 you'd get higher overall performance. But the 2.4C will offer more challenge thou :D

omg, I fixed it :D
muwah
One of the pins on the cpu was bent totally, straightened it out, put it all back together again, and voila its worked.
Now to put the graphics, etc... back in and get it to boot up
Keep tuned for updates.
LOVE you all
