Fatbodies are great for many things, although many people tend to stray more to mainstream D9. Fatbodies will take all the voltage you really want to run 24-7 without a problem, they bench well at 2.65-2.75v, and they just live forever. They really suck with 680i, so stay away from putting those two together.
Crucial 8500s are also great! Crucial really stands behind what they sell, they have a great RMA service, and the 8500s are well binned period. More mainstream D9 will still degrade if you try to run it 2.5v 24-7, and if you put alot of benching time on it, it can still get hurt.
If you want to run low voltage and 1100-1200mhz, get crucial 8500s no questions asked, but if you have a 975 board fatbodies are not useless as Hipro has shown us time and time again.
