I'm making a custom Res for my loop, and thought about making a second with a with a cut out hole then a peltier mounted over it just to try it.

Any suggestions would help, size of pelt ect,
I don't want to run it to cold where I have condensation just knock it down maybe 10 degree's or what ever.
I've never used a pelt this is what I’m thinking of trying, :D

A pelt will remove heat from the loop, and act as a radiator if you have a heatsink on either side of it. It will however, NOT move the temperature of the water below ambient.

THX,

So if I already have a good radiator in the loop will it help or just a waste of time?
Also I have a 1000w PSU what size of pelt could it handle along with the rest of my system, QX6700 and 8800GTX sli?

Comp psu will not handle a pelt that is not very tiny.
Once sub ambient, the radiator would be heating up the loop ;)

If you have a rad and pelt in the loop then they will work against each other.

If the pelt is powerfull enough (note if) then it might potentially cool the water below ambient, but the rad will warm the water back to ambient temps, making the pelt pointless.

At best you will get your water temps at exactly ambient, gaining a few *C but nothing more.

You will be also increasing case temps as the pelt will heat the aid inside the case up.

Overall a bit of a waste of money IMO.

If you want to play with peltiers, make a beer cooler. Much more usefull :D
