Hi all,

I have a question about overclocking Amd Opteron 170 Dual-Core on a Jetway 939GT4L-G-OC and memory is Corsair VS 2 x 512M DDR 400 the graphics card is a Sapphire X1650Pro. I can't seem to get past 2.350Ghz if I bump up the CPU at boot to anything over 235 the system doesn't boot actually locks up where you have to clear nvram. There's not many options for controlling memory. Is this possibly a limitiation of this mobo? Any ideas.

Thanks in advance

I can only find the 939GT4L-Sli edition. If yours is Nforce 4 the same then I'd expect your problem is not a mobo limitation.

When you say you up your CPU FSB to 235mhz, what divider are you using for your memory? If default (200mhz) DDR400, then your memory is most likely the failure (since they're attempting to run at 235mhz (DDR470). Drop it to a (166mhz) DDR333 divider and see how things go.

Also, which PSU do you have? Stock VCore aswell yes? Are you using default MULTI on your CPU? Have you dropped your HTT multi, and last but not least....temps?

Me being a H/W engineer I should have caught this but this is the first board I ever played with ... the problem was ..in bios the CPU and DRAm clock was attached.. which is bad.. CPU is running at 2850mhz memory just at 200mhz and all is fine and at 30 ish C on air... I have CPU-Z pics .. if you like ...

Thanks again
