problem with 5,1 sound...MN2-E&Vista

My frend has a problem with his integrated sound card on Asus M2N-E Mobo, recently he`s installed Vista ultimate, an there is no sound from speakers when he listens music, he`s tryed everything, but sound works only when he listens music with Nero media player (????), and in that case only 2 front speaker work, others, including and sub doesnt work:confused:

also, which is more strange, when he tests speakers in Vista Sound setup all speakers work, so we really dont what`s the problem, he is getting insane and about to throw away his PC throught window:D , so if any of U can help us to solve this we`d be very greateful

Has he set Vista to use the sound card. In the control panel there is a icon for sound. set the onboard as default and set your speakers config. This may be the problem.

That was my problem and i solved that...the problem was with driver... I download the new driver for soundmax (for Vista 32 bit) and after installing it, it was working! :up:
