View Full Version : Help flashing my 8800GTX
Currently using RivaTuner to run my Asus 8800GTX at 648/1053. Think the shadermodel is at 1512 at those speeds. Fanspeed at 75%
I would like to run at these settings without software.
Cant find where to edit the fanspeed in nibitor.
A smaal guide would be nice before doing something stupid!
you will find everything here

The fan speed is already set to 100% in the bios's.....it is limited by the Nvidia drivers, NOT the bios, unfortunately :(

Modding my bios with 648 core, 1620 shadermodel, 1050 memory.
The last thing I would really like is to get the fanspeed at 75%.
But you say that isnt possible with the bios?
It is not possible in the bios.....the bios already has fan at 100%.
It is the nvidia drivers which are holding back the fans......you can always use Riva Tuner to setup your fan profiles.
cantankerous

this sucks. I thought the whole point of modding the bios was to have everything set the way you like without the need for software to be run in the background to achieve certain functions. I know with the ATI cards you can set fan speed as I have done so on my X1900.
OK
So I have to use rivatuner anyway for the Fan. might as well set the clocks there.
Only plus for the bios-mod is the setting for the shader.
Rivatuner cant do that.
Unless someone can hack the drivers
I cant run 648/1655/1053 with the fan at auto. it run 60%
Only when running the fan at 75% it can run a 3D Mark2006.
So im back at the standard bios and using Riva for both mhz and fanspeed.
Hopefully there wil be a fix for the fan to be modded in the bios.
