I just bought a miniNG a couple weeks ago and have been messing with it. Got a couple of questions though.

I have a 50z-DC12 pump, I've had it for years and it runs great. Originally I was using analogue power to run it but found that it runs quieter in PWM mode. Is it ok to run it off of PWM? I've read that pumps should be running off of analogue power but it seems to run just fine with PWM.

In analogue I can only take the pump down to about 75% before it quits. In PWM I can run it all the way down to 10% if I want. I don't plan on running it that low but do you guys think it's ok to run it at 50% or so assuming that it's ok to run it in PWM in the first place? It doesn't seem to affect temps at all when I run it that low (which brings up some other questions about flow and temps) I just don't want to screw up my pump.

PWM is basically flicking a switch on and off repeatedly. It's been a while since I've sat in my mechanical engineering classes, but I'd assume it's not healthy for the pump. I'd love to know the definite answer as well and suggest we post this on the mcubed forums site and see if we can get a rep to answer it.

I'd be emailing the pump guys for that answer, rather than M-cube.
A bit of careful wording might be in order to avoid a knee jerk negative response. Something along the lines of, "Will your 50Z model pump be suitable for use in a WC system employing Pulse Width Modulation to control pump speed?"
Phrased like that a sale is implicit in a positive answer, rather than negative and you're more likely to receive a genuine researched answer in their response.
