I called newegg yesterday to ask about the ETA on the P5K line of motherboards and their answer was "We don't have an ETA yet." Anyone here know more then them possibly?

He probably just guessed that they would have them on launch date...

Mwave (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/Index.hmx?) has them in stock...I bought my P5K vanilla from them on Thursday.

Just do a P35 chipset search...

Anyone has any good recommendation on which brand of P35 board to buy (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, DFI, etc...)? I wonder if there is a comparison review on all (or some) of them yet.

I can tell you I really like the Asus P5K Deluxe and the Asus P5K. I have several boards laying around to pick from for a 24/7 rig and I'm gonna go with the P5K. It's simple, no bells and whistles that I don't need and everything works :D Running 4 gigs of ram with no mucking about trying to get em' sorted. You can leave this thing on auto, plug everything in and install your OS with no fuss...Oh and it overclocks too :p: Pencil mod took take care of some undervolting and droop. Memory OC'ing is great...just a great little board for the price...this a first for me to be recommending an Asus but these two P5K's I've been tinkering with have been really quite fun to work with...

I'm loving my P5K Deluxe, but from reading a few reviews it seems that the memory latency of the P5K Deluxe is inferior to the Gigabyte. The Firingsquad P35 preview covers both boards. Probably just a bios thing, and perhaps that's a reason why the Asus overclocks so well, who knows. I've been thinking of starting a thread to compare results.

i have both boards, P5K Deluxe outperforms P35-DQ6

DQ6 seems to be higher quality. My P5K blew up :(

Heatsinks on P35-DQ6 is a lot better

droop on P35-DQ6 is .02-.03ish

droop on P5k deluxe is .01-.02

I could get 10MHz more FSB on P5K deluxe (CPU limited) and ram O/C's a little better.

When my new P5K arrives, I will continue testing

After reading more reviews, I'm kind of having a little cold feeling toward the P5K Deluxe for not having a PS/2 Mouse port. I still use PS/2 mouse because sometimes I do Ghost and of the version I have, mouse driver wouldn't work unless it's a PS/2 one. What a turn-off, Asus!

Just get a USB >> PS/2 adapter .
