View Full Version : Which: ICEMAT v2 or RATPADZ XT?
I need a mouse pad that will last a long time. I'm using a RATPADZ GS (the economy version of the RADPADZ XT). I figured at the time it didn't matter. I loved it when it was new, but after using the pad for a long time -- since two years ago, using the mousepad serves only the purpose of preventing damage to my desk  . In fact, the mousepad yields worse performance than just using the desk.
According to RATPADZ's website, the XT version lasts a very long time. How long would that be, for someone who is hardcore?
As for the ICEMAT v2, many proclaim that the mousepad never wears out, and will last forever.
Are the rumors true?

No no not the QCK+ ... My brother got the QCK+, and I saw it, and I was OMGZ, WTF is that, a new mini-tablecloth for your desk?!
Though the reason that I picked those two choices was because I like the feeling of a hard mousepad... I've tried out the QCK+ for a bit, and I much prefer a harder pad.

Get the Supermat (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0201345)
17 1/2" x 14"

Save money over all those overpriced pads.
I tried hardpads, but supermat has always owned harder and stronger and faster and meaner and leetier.

Neither... IMO the Steelpad 5L is the best mousepad you can get. It is great for low-sens and high sens gamers. The Icemat v2 is way too small for me (1.0 mouse sens in CS)
but out of the 2 the Icemat is better.
Well, one of the reasons I picked those two was because I don't have much desk space while I am at school. At home I have this 6-foot long desk, which is more than enough space, even for a QCK+.
Any particular reasons why you like the Steelpad 5L (I infer that the size is bigger, and it has decent tracking)?

Icemat is glass so it lasts much longer than a cloth/plastic pad. I've owned mine for a couple years. I highly recommend them

it just works really really well on my mx518, I had the icemat but I didn't like it that much.
