It looks fine.
I have only used Liteon, but not Optiarc. I can't comment on that.
I would also pick the e6320 over the e4400.
hehe you are more experienced than the people you are asking them for help
I just want to be sure that the parts are really OK :)
I just want to be sure that the parts are really OK :)
so you are in the process of saving money for a new VGA so just get the E4300 and upgrade later ,, that CPU is pretty cheap and wont lose much of it is value
I'm not saving money for the videocard :p: I'm not even sure if I'll get one. I don't play games that much and the games I play are mainly car games (GTR2, NFS-, CMR series...) and old rpg games (BG2, IWD...). When I get my next paycheck I (->next month) maybe I'll buy a cheap DX10 videocard.

eh. I'd say skip the graphics card and wait till you've got a couple more bucks. That or just go get a 6800 series or a 7600GT or something and use that as a hold-over
Well I've managed with this Mobility R9000 all this time cos I have no desktop computer. So I believe the X1050 will serve me well until I have the money to buy a better videocard :)

Why don't you wait til July price drop and go for a quadcore?
I would definitely wait and get the Q6600 /w a cheaper mobo. ;)
Can't bother to wait for the price drop plus I don't need a quadcore cpu.
What do you guys think:
G-Skill F2-6400PHU2-GBHZ (cas4-4-4-12) 129€ (http://gskill.de/product_sp2650.html)
or
OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Titanium EPP (cas4-4-4-15) 133€ (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz-ddr2_pc2_6400_titanium_epp_ready_dual_channel)
So the price is pretty much the same with those two but is there a big difference in how much they overclock? The reviews I have read tells me that both can do over 1000MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings and 2.3vdimm or so.

see, this is where you will end up shooting yourself in the foot. You can't wait, you must have it now. If you've managed for so long with your lappy, another month wont kill you. You say you don't need quad core NOW, and you said you are upgrading video obviously to play games. Games today are becoming more and more multi threaded.
It seems to me if you could restrain yourself for a month, you could build a system that will last you quite some time and have enough cores to run the newest games with gusto. Ive done exactly what you are doing so many times with my builds, build just a bit too soon.
Just consider others advice before acting so hastily.

Why do you need a P35 ???
Grab the DFI Dark at most or the DS3, get the E4300 and get a decent vid card.
Games aren't the only reason why ppl get better vid cards, members at xs of all ppl should know that.
A 4ghz quad kents doesn't compare to what the HD video tech in Nvidia and ATI's new cards can do when viewing, encoding or decoding movies.

Why not? They can be had for the same price as the 965S.
Also, buy a 79xx card if you have to save money, and buy it from EVGA. That way you can upgrade to a 640GTS without paying the entire full price again, just the difference

I thought so :) I just bought the G-Skill's for 100€ + shipping (=2-3€).

Support for Penryn and P35 mobos overclock better. If I don't play games much why should get a expensive videocard? I'm not going to buy one for 3Dmark benches or something equally useless.
Here's few pics of monitor that I bought:

Ok, little change of plans :D Now I have ordered these parts:
Pentium E2160
DFI Infinity Dark P965-S
G-Skill F2-6400PHU2-GBHZ
Optiarc AD-7170S-01 sata
Now I have a larger budget for the videocard. I'm thinking about buying a used 7900GTX/7900GT 512MB or a new X1950XT 256MB.
edit. I will post pics when I get the parts.

Cheapest X1950XT that I can find here is more than 200€. I think I can get a used 7900GTX cheaper and it has better stock cooling.

Awesome-ness.
Do tell how high it clocks without needing better nb/sb cooler.
Perkam
Sure :) I will use the copper core boxed cooler instead of the aluminium core one which comes with the E1260.
edit. Just ordered a Sapphire X1950 Pro :) It was pretty cheap so now I can use the rest of the budget to a better cooler.
edit2. Ordered the Tuniq Tower 120 Blue led. Now the final build is like this:
Cpu: Pentium E2160
Mb: DFI P965 Dark
Ram: G-Skill 2GB ddr2 800MHz 2GBHZ
Videocard: Sapphire X1950 Pro
Cooler: Sunbeam Tuniq Tower blue led
Picked the cpu and dvd-drive from a local computershop :)

congrats  system finally ready >>>> overclocking time :D
I wish it was :( The shop where I ordered the videocard doesn't have it on stock so I have to wait for next week. Same with the cooler.
System is finally up and running :D
edit. Running at 2.5GHz now...Temps are 68 in load according to coretemp 0.95. Using the coppercore boxed cooler from my old P4 630.
