I saw the DFI CFX3200M2-G motherboard based on the RD580/SB600 and think it is nice. The chipset is very good and a Lanparty model from DFI isn't bad either. Madshrimps claims that the card has officiall FSB 1066Mhz support here:

http://www.madshrimps.be/articles/Computex2006-AsusDFIEpoxMSIandGigabyteMo-jmke-12561.jpg
# AMD Socket AM2
# ATI Crossfire RD580 + SB600 Chipset
# FSB 1066Mhz / Dual DDR2 800
# Support ATI Crossfire Technology
# SATA 3.0Gb/s RAID / Dual Gb LAN / PCIe
# IEEE 1394a / 8-CH High Definition Audio

Anybody knows more about the card? Doesn't find any reviews on it, and I think I will buy one for sure. This board should set new HTT/FSB records... Maybe OskarWU can visit here and give us more info???

What does that mean?

Tictac: I think they mean 533Mhz modules instead of the 400Mhz modules we have today on AM2... And AMD claims that the K10 will have officiall support for 1066Mhz, and the motherboard is compatible with K10, so maybe the higher FSB depends on that.

Thanks, but Lanparty with 580X chipset for socket AM2 is new on the market I think, because I have searched for the board a lot without any success and like you can see, you'll not able to find any review on it either. That's why I'm asking for more info/discussing.

Welcome to 2006...

The Infinity CFX3200 M2G is a very good board:

But I'm afraid the LanParty CFX3200 M2 was never released.

doompc, welcome to reality? You did'nt get what my point was, thats for sure...

adamsleath, Biostar has shown an AM2+ motherboard. You can find it here in the xs forum.

2good4you, you didn't get my point.

The article is from 2006.
The Infinity CFX3200 M2 is a very good board, the LanParty CFX3200 M2 was never released.

AMD64s don't have FSB, K10 will support DDR2-1066 but that will work on any AM2 board, they just need an updated BIOS.
But, for marketing reasons, mobo manufacturers may reserve DDR2-1066 support for AM2+ boards.

AM2+ boards have new "HTT3.0 compliant" chipsets and dual plane VRM.

Ok, I just saw the board quick and didnt know much about the board. I get a ASUS M2N32 590 instead. Clocks pretty well.

Of course I know there is'nt a FSB on the K8 processors, but to make difference between the cpu/nb and the cpu/mem it is easy to say FSB for the cpu/mem bus and HTT for the cpu/nb bus. Indeed cpu/mem bus on K8 is like the FSB, but without the I/O data flowing in the HTT instead. In dualsocket systems like the Opteron the HTT bus is used as memory bus when NUMA is active.

I know the most of the AM2+ and upcoming stuff. You may see a K10 FAQ soon.

You're going to give us a K10 faq? When you pull an Article on a board that was never released and one that was last year? Best of luck to you! :)

Ironic or not, just read my last post.

"Ok, I just saw the board quick and didnt know much about the board"

I have not seen the board before and did not know it was not released.

Relax 2good4you .There just giving you a hardtime . You did cause quit a stir ya know. Many of these guys bit on that story and got pawned.

Just look at the V8 thread. Its really funny. All are talking about this server card that uses FBdimms. and is extremely expensive. Also they talk about Intel coping amd again . which is an out and out lie! Asus offered dual sockets for workstation Intel a long time ago before C2D they weren't dual core but they were dual socket.

It would seem they also forgot Intel is releasing Skull Trail in the 3rd qt. This is the real 2 socket intel enthusist board. I can't say much about it as my wife's brother inlaw made me promise to put a sock in mouth on this one.

But I will have a skulltrail M/B with 2 qcore penryns don't let people say there will be a fsb bottlenick because its not so. O/C should be great and power consumption with penryn and DDR3 1600 should destroy everthing in its Path including 4X4

Turtle WTF are you talking about?!?! What :banana::banana::banana:in' SkullTrail in the thread about AM2 mobo??
Good for you that your inlow will get you Penryn+DDR3-1600, but do you need to brag about it in this thread?!!?

Perkam could you please delete this noise/spam?

Relax Nedjo . I was simply telling 2good4you not to get excited about some of the replies that were made . Because he posted old outdated story.

So I than pointed out how the AMD fans took the V8 story said this and that when we all know skulltrail is the real 2 socket enthusist M/B .

So don't get excited about a dead thread . I mean gez if this knocks your socks off whats K10 going to do for ya.

Turtle don't get me wrong, I would really like to get some nice information about skulltrail, but could you please start some new thread abut it?

Besides, DFI hasn't made a decent board since the NF4 days. This 590 board I have is terrible and buggier than anything I have ever used.
