View Full Version : Just can't decide on a mousepad for my Razer DB

Well, before anyone may start, my Razer DB still rules, regardless of whether it's almost 2 years old or not!!! :D

I'm using a generic "David Bowie" mousemat right now. It's curling at the corners and does collect "sticker dsut / dirt" quickly which has to be scraped off.

The worst thing is it doesn't stick to my glass desktop. - That is annoying.

I get pains in my wrist when gaming for ages, so I may be buying a SteelGear Gaming Glove to give that a crack cos a sweat band doesn't do the trick, so I was looking at the SteelPad 5L to bundle in and save on P&P to the UK as it's got good reviews and seems decent itself.

But I'm here to be sold the 5L for definite or swayed, so any others recommended for the Razer DiamondBack? (and also maybe a future change to a Copperhead if this mosue breaks down).

Thanks.

I'm using Razer's eXactmat, works great for me. It is pretty large though so you will need some space for it.

I was in your boots looking for a new pad a while ago. I admit through my research the 5L is a great pad, but it is plastic and me+plastic=wear ;)

I got the Steelpad QCK+ and I couldn't be more happy with it. I know it's huge but it's nice because you never need to worry about running out of pad in any circumstance. It makes my G5 glide effortlessly and the control I have now is incredible. My headshot count in CS:S has increased by at least double since I switched over

Another vote for the qck+. I got it about a year ago and love it!

I've been using a Razer DB for over 2 years with a Fatal1ty pad (https://store.fatal1ty.com/accessories.aspx) - great combination IMO, and great for fast-paced shooters like Quake 3/4. If you like cloth, this pad will make you happy.

I noticed you talked about upgrading to a Copperhead, I wouldn't recommend a laser mouse - stick to optical, less issues.

Razer eXactMat or Xtrac tripper

Cheers guys, nice recommendations.

Still so many suggested. What about if I say that I game with my wrist practically staying in one position. and my hand moving on the mouse left and right. The only time I move my wrist is when teh pad moves away after not sticking to the glass surface.

So I do not need a HUGE mousemat.

The mousemat is also not cloth. Cloth I do not like they REALLY peel away with me. This is like a plastic sticker type cover. Like Laminated.

Hope that helps more.

Depends if you're a low sens gamer or a high sens.

for low get a Steelpad 5l or QcK+ for high get a Icemat.
