I bought a new case for my old system and it came with a 350W PSU.
I am wondering if I could keep it, because there won't be much in it.
It will have:
ASUS p5-ld2 motherboard
x1600 card (can't remember which one but it was nothing fancy)
Pentium D 925 (3.0)
dvd burner
IDE 120gb 7200rpm HD
4x 512mb ddr2 533

What do you think?? keep it or get a another PSU?

Firstly, 350W will get you nowhere. 500W is the minimum you'll hear from everyone around here. You might be able to get off with 450W.

Secondly, never use case PSU's anyways. 9 times out of 10, they are junk.

In theory it is sufficient but Honestly spend more on the PSU because that is the one thing you SHOULD NEVER SKIMP on

I figured that much. Thanks for you replies. I'll buy a new one today but have limited funds. Does anyone know if the Coolermaster Extreme 430W / 500W are good\reliable enough to run the above sytem?
