i have a quick question, im building a system for my cousin, and she changes computer every 5-6 years.... and im debating on which windows to get her?? im worried about compatibility with programs with the 64bit version?? i know eventually everything will move to 64bit over time, which is why im considering it.. or should i just leave it at 32bit vista??

NOTE: im getting the oem version of windows because its half the price of the retail version.. but it only comes with either 32bit or 64bit.. and im building a system with 4gigs already..

I think I would go 64bit! I have not seen very many people complaining about compatibility issues in the 64 either.

x64 ftw. The only thing I've had issues with is iTunes which is a POS anyway and my Belkin wireless card but only because they're too lazy to release 64bit drivers, but it's ok because I can use ASUS onboard wireless :)

But they should. Some software has compatibility issues with x64. I have had problems with java-related software.
