Hi, i got a leak in the system and i cant seem to find it. I've tried soap-water, no luck.

I wanna sink the whole system in water. Would there be any problem with the compressor? I know its hermetic but i dont know about the wiring.

Thanks,
Vic

Do you have any pictures to show of the unit? How much pressure do you have inside the unit?

I put about 4 bars and it drops in about 5 minutes to 1 bar. I just wanna know if the compressor will be fine if i would to sink it.

Here is the system waiting to be drown (bear in mind its my first build, dont be too harsh)

Edit: thx NOL

Ya, it will be fine, just theroughly dry and then let it dry through the day to be sure befor trying to power it up, and take off the PTC/PC Starter relay.

Before you do that...are you sure you aren't just seeing the normal time lag it takes to equalize the high and low sides?

Right on the spot. The pressure was dropping from 3-4bar to about 1bar in a matter of minutes and i was like... wtf? I was sure there was a leak. After adding more pressure i saw it was stabilizing at some point.

I just finished testing under water at 12 bar. That should be ok right?

Thanks, guys.

have you checked the housings?

I have been going nut's while searching leaks in systems and in the end it have been the hoses connected to the manifold that's leaking, not much but enough to drop 1-2bar over a couple of hours.

it is unusual brazed joints leaks so I would start checking the manifold setup
