My New benching palace:

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/1.jpg

See that the high stages are all located one side now, at the window, to throw the condensing heat outside, finally, no more sauna room!!

Right here, you see the Anaconda nest... 4 Heat Exchangers....

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/2.jpg

1 is home-made winding pipe in pipe, almost 7m, its supa ghetto, Polyurethane foam is banned here now, so back to Armaflex insulation! This is for CPU first stage, which connects to CPU middle stage Heatexchanger right below. On top you see a fanless condensor, thats the de super heater for CPU middle stage, good to have, cos a lot of R1150 needs to be condensed!!

The 3 evap cooling heads right here... benching section.

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/3.jpg

My CPU evap gets a major upgrade, much thanks to my friend Xu Gang and Susie from China!! He made me this awesome evap head!!

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/8.jpg

Its way too massive, i even trimmed some fins off to use aq smaller outer cap. But to cool it by itself is a huge heat load... but once cold, it stays there for frkn long...

Here are the 3 low stages for CPU and gpu1 and 2, with oil seperators right beside:

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/4.jpg

The 3 High staqes and 1 Middle stage for cpu area... 4 x rotaries 1HP each!!

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/5.jpg

Of course oil seperator for middle stage as well!

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/6.jpg

Much much thanks to my friends for building me such a beautiful Control Panel!!! So good to have all switche controls over here!!

http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/3cascades/7.jpg

GPUs Cascades is usual R22 stage 1 and R1150 Stage 2

CPU Cascade:

1st stage: R22 + dash of R290 - 1.3m of 0.31" cap tube , yes had to rim so short, the heat load on 1st stage is immense, trying to condense so much R1150 on middle stage, and R1150 of 3rd stage and then also CPU heat load.
Under fulll load running, -26C or so.

2nd stage: R1150 + dash of R290 - 1.65m of 0.31" cap tube.... Under load, it's about -80C to -85C...

3rd stage: R1150 - 1m of 0.47" connected to 0.5m 0.31" to evap head :D low hi side preesure with -80C condensing temps, so short cap tube for good enough flow!! With ~ -80C condensing temps, this is the length you want to maintain good flow for kentsfield loads with R1150!

The evap is so huge, cooling it down itself is huge load, so i need to wait till its cold before turning on PC, if not middle stage will be overloaded with heat load of cooling evap and pc all at one go. overload is no good, hi side pressure of 3rd stage rises rapidly due to rising condensing temp, flow gets too fast for short cap tube and liquid slugs the comrpessor. just an issue if cold bugged cpu.

i had the probe placed at evap exit which is bad side to monitor... evap exit is more liek ur usual suction line close to compressor due to evap size. but cpu evap base is around -107c to -110c load or idle, as evap is so huge. suction preesurfe is vaccumm under load, like 5 to 7hg good stuff,,,, R14 wil be nice to switch to now :D

it looks getto, but its a work of art, i think its safe to say you have the most cascade units in one room benching
good to have you back here as well shamino
do you think you will be changing the 3rd stage from 1150 to r14 anytime soon. What sort of speeds can you run quad core at on that beast?

Ye getto, but power full. Huh Anaconda

When we see some scores using this mini  cooling setup ?

WOW! And I thought your last cascade was ghetto  !

I think that purple bottle behind your cascade is Ethylene isn't it? I would really reccomend getting a decent regulator for it! And make sure the bottle is securely fastened to something so it can't fall over.

I assume the compressors must be quite small which is one of the reasons you are using such short captube lengths?

that evap looks very interesting have you got any numbers for it yet

also are they plate hx

or home made

thanks baz

always wondered what watercooling blocks would be like with really tall copper fins like that but much finer cuts...(IF POSSIBLE)

What temps you have @ load on cpu evap?

He said it at the end of the post, -105c aprox.

What so huge work, it must need over 5KW from the electrical red, your gonna cause continuous problems there:rofl:

It's a "nice" and powerful system indeed, will you build them in series ? lol

Regards! :toast:

ah correction, the evap mass is not an issue, was liquid sluggin, I cannot turn the 3rd stage off and on in hust a while when evap is flooded full of cold liquid which doesn't boil off , it just rushes back even with inverted strainer

Faced one oil freeze on mid stage today... think my 2nd stage HX is full of oil in the evaporating side as it was recycled from a previous 2 stager.

Very bad way to do it, I've got no regulator, split-second open close to fill to empty "expansion buffer tank". No way it should be done.

I usually play safe when handling heat loads, i like to over estimate.

well i dont have a comparision but since I measure temp at evap exit, so when temp rise, like I do a voltage up and mhz up, so heat increase, it won't show till aq while later due to the mass.

3 are actually suction hx big ones, fins inside, evap wrapped in shell outside. One's just pipe in pipe. Was gonna order a plate from Dimas, but just couldn't wait to put it up so had a good sweat pushing 1/4" thru 1/2" :D

i would wanna for sure if but i could just get a dash of r14 :D
Well just running 4.5GHz Kentsfield cpu tests looping to charge and check heat load takes on all 3 stages

what a ghetto looking unit/s surely the largest concentration of phase changing gear in one room i have ever seen. the name anaconda is very fitting .. that's a work of art, and i'm sure a labor of love..
