Something similar to these:

http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g34/c141/s301/list/p1/Bay_Devices-LCD_Multimedia_Displays-VLSystems-Page1.html

It will display things like an audio bar, etc, etc... no fan controllers, no temp sensors, I don't need it. I'm looking for a 3.5" multimedia display (if it can display song titles, etc, that would be incredible). I don't really care if it's LCD of VFD or whatever... as long as it works.

So anyone know if this exists and if so, where could I find it?

Do you think a keen modder with some metal tools could mode the casing of a Silverstone SST-FP54 to fit in a 3.5" bay? If you look at the insides of the unit here (http://www.ocia.net/reviews/fp54/page2.shtml) (specifically the height of the chip), I'd say it'd have to be a very clever mod, but is there anyone here with skill enough to say it could be done?

Here is the case in question:

Looks like I'd have to rip out the 3.5" cage (which is fine because I'll never be using more than 3 HDDs anyway, judging by the height of the LCD, I'll also have to cut the 3.5" bay a bit taller, remove the display from the enclosure, cut the front panel to the right size and just slip it in. The interior cord can hang loose, I suppose with the cage out of the way. Also, to do it right, I'd like to change the display filter from red to blue. What do you all think? Looking at the case, it almost looks simple to cut that into 5.25" height.

In the end, I should have that modded into the 3.5", and the 5.25" will be filled with a Aerocool Gatewatch, a Soundblaster front panel above that, and two disk media drives above that. Throw some nasty hardware inside, a few blue cold cathodes, and I'd say I'll have a nifty looking rig.
