Well I created a dual boot with XP and Vista. Now I would like to delete the Vista partition because I have finished my testing as well as the lack of HDD space. What would be the best way to merge the space with my XP partition. It is strange to find all these guides to create a partition but not how to delete one.

Update: I used Gparted and deleted the Vista partition as well as resize the XP partition. The only problem remaining is that the dual boot screen still shows, yet Vista has been wiped.

If the partition is deleted and the space re-gained then you just need to edit the boot.ini to remove the entry for vista.

If not then use partition magic (or theres a acronis one that is good too)

Have to boot to xp recovery console and run fixboot and fixmbr on the c drive.
This will also wipe grub though if you're using it.
I don't believe you can fix this by editing boot.ini but I may be wrong.
