I know this may seem in appropriate to some, but if anyone who has become disgusted with the way cs:s is a hacking community and there is no fun in it any more than maybe you could ablige a poor college student.
Im not looking to play competitively at all in cs:s however, many of my friends and colleagues play it on a routine basis. I unfortunately have 1.6 and i honestly dont feel like paying for another game that i will more than likely lose interest in within a few months.

If anyone who no longer plays cs:s source would like to help me out, please send me a pm for your activation code so i can add it to my steam account.

Yes, yes, many will say go buy it yourself. but i know that there are numerous gamers out there that no longer use theirs anymore as well, so please help me out.

No, no joke what so ever. I figured by experience that when a game gets completely hacked that people lose interest. and I figure that maybe somebody who fits taht profile could help me out.

all its for is a simple get on and have a little fun every now and then. Surely somebody could help me out with that.

anyway... CS:S is a great mutli-player FPS. i really haven't seen any hackers in months. you really just need to find a couple good servers that are a lot of fun. oh yea, and just buy it if you want to play. don't be a mooch.

laragirl has no anti-cheats in that pic, he is just happy about his fps. I am an AC-admin in CAL, and I can tell you that there will be far far less hackers next steam update.

Ya you really don't run into many hackers in css. There are a few blatant ones... I help run a surf server we catch maybe one or so people a month if that... There are some servers that are run over with hackers... but its all in finding a good clean server like itznfb said

He is obviously using an old config which now has many blocked commands, many commands were recently added to the sv_cheats list because they can be used as exploits in certain situations. cl_upspeed, backspeed etc cannot be changed anymore. There are still many game commands that are considered cheating that are not on the sv_cheats list.

The point is he isn't pointing out cheats, he's bragging about his fps.

First of all sv_cheats was incorporated into half-life 1, and allowed you to give yourself all guns, and noclip in single player... it was incorporated then into counter-strike, but the only use it has is when the cvar is enabled (sv_cheats 1) you can type "impulse 101" in your console and you get $16000 (full money) that's about it. It doesn't disable any ingame cheats... like get your facts straight. The cvar sv_cheats has no relation to VAC...
As for the benchmark, 300 fps is WAY more than enough and is a pretty damn good score. I doubt you can even get 800-900 FPS with 2 8800GTX ultras in SLI, there's like no way you can get that much fps.

well.... close. i have 3.6ghz C2D 4gb RAM and 8800gts 640 in SLI which yields close to 900 with default install. IMO that's a mid-high end gaming rig. which would be decent.

how do i not know what i'm talking about? on my server config as you said sv_cheats is used to allow the full money and some other random things are infact used legitimatly. the ingame cheats are integrated into CS and fully functional but by default they are set to disabled. sv_cheats is also used in some VAC utils such as enabling CLI remote management, multi-language support and so on. there isn't much you can manage with VAC but you need to enable it to do so.

and are you an admin or moderator? i didn't think so. i think they are perfectly capable of determining what is off topic or out of hand enough to close a thread.

imo the post with the screen shot is far more interesting than the original post.

screenshot of bench and video settings or it didn't happen, i highly doubt you got close to 800 fps and if you got anywhere near it, you probably ran the game in the lowest resolution with everything on low. And 300FPS is perfectly fine for the benchmark, considering he's running everything on high. Ingame is actually a lot more different. And when did i say moderators aren't capable of determining of the discussion got offtopic, i just posted what i thought... , anyway im done in this thread

If I had to guess... Soccer is a hacker. He probably got banned from the entire valve community and now wants someone else's steam account for CS:S so that he can go on hacking on that account as well.
Guess what? Nobody will be crazy enough to give that to you. Save some allowance money and go buy it yourself.
