Only helps. In fact, I highly recommend that. I would if I had bothered to buy more gaskets. Keep in mind that its a royal b1tch if you ever want to remove the gaskets.

Don't ever expect to reuse them if you're forced to remove them. I took them off my U2-case and it was a pain. It took some light sanding, and a lot of finger nailing.

Omg, it was a pain in the ass to remove the gasket on my PA 120.2, i would never put it on again.

It's worth it though. It really helps dampen the vibrations between the fans and the rad.

I feel the same. As matter of fact I was half way through putting it on and I tested just to peel it off and realized it was going to be a PITA to remove it; never again.

Thanks for the heads-up.
Might put paper on each side and trim it to shape, for a compound gasket.

When I mounted fans to my pa120.3 shroud I just left the backing paper on the gasket, works like a champ ;)
