EVGA 680i GPU slot arrangement in NV monitor?

Curious which slot NV Monitor lists as GPU1 and GPU2. Was told that gpu1 is closest to the cpu.
Reason for my question is, nvmonitor lists gpu1 hotter than gpu2 (idle- 40/37)

My mobo is in BTX format (upside down) and loop runs through gpu1 before gpu2 (if what I was told is correct) yet gpu1 is 3 deg cooler and below gpu2 (where it would be warmer just under the PSU)

any similar readings?

mmm isn't this in the wrong section to ask something like this...

but yes the slot closest to the cpu closest is the gpu1 that you see on the nvmonitor... what comes to the different temp readings, i would like to point out that like every cpu is different so is every video card. but if you like, check the contact between the heatsink and the gpu/ memories and if you see that the other one is having a bad contact clean the thermal paste and ably a new layer.

i think the watercooling section really could split off into its own board completely, its always one of the highest traffic areas

it's relative to this section...it's watercooled and would/could be affected (the temps) because the water goes through one gpu block till it gets to the other...

sorry but you did not clearly say so.. there was nothing said about water cooling in your first post..

But I did find out that gpu2 is the card closest to the cpu and the reason why gpu1 is 3 deg warmer than gpu2
