I'm going to get a minifridge for mah beers soon and hopefully hook up a wye and get some chilled cooling in effect. I'm going to keep at least a 2x120mm rad mounted in my case and wye a line to the fridge, using quick disconnects. I'm trying to decide what I should keep in the fridge though. I'd rather not fabricate a res out of copper unless there's something made for something else I could easily use without much modding at all. Smaller is best. I currently have a bip1 in my case as well and am hesitant to remove it from the independent water loop since I'm afraid of overloading the 2x120 when the chiller is disconnected. But if that is indeed the best piece to use, I can make due. Or would a small acrylic res be good enough to transfer heat quickly enough into the fridge?

You'll kill the fridge. Use search function, there is just under 1 trillion posts on this sort of thing.

damn, it was a nice idea. Figured I'd post it and gauge response before having to do any work looking into it myself :). Looked around and god damn it. Oh well. At least most of the months are winter. Maybe I'll just hang a rad out the window or something

Better than that. Bury it.
You don't have to go very far down to find year round low temps.

Or just use an air conditioner, man! Find one on sale for cheap, and you could easily reach -20*C.

just as an example, filling my mini fridge with sodas from the garage can make the compressor quite hot to the touch since they have such crappy convection based cooling
