right, i have the Tj07 as most of you know,

i have 1x PA120.3 1x Dtek FuZion 1x EK 1900 FC block and a DDC petra's top and EK 200 multioption res.

now i have been looking at these >> http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o36/pie_uk/vr-as40_02.jpg

and i think they look better with >>

compression fittings. however this would mean using what tubing? 10-8 mm?

i like what been has done with this rig >>

http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o36/pie_uk/ekmounted.jpg

he says he is using 15/11mm tygon which translates as 7/16" ? or 3/8 ? i understand you can by 3/8 and slide it over 1/2 tubing. which by the looks of it what he has done since there are no worm drives or zip ties.

basically i own this rig>>

and am wanting to do something extra special but need some input from you guys.

i was thinking of selling the PA and going 2x Tripple BIX stealth with 2x DDC pumps

any help or idea would be very much appreciated

So you want to cool your mosfets and chipset on a separate loop? I would think about mounting a rad at your top exhaust and keep the PA where you have it. Maybe run a 3/8" loop with a stealth rad. It'll get crowded in there but should fit with no problem.

edit--I never addressed the original question, hehe. I like the simple use of compression fittings but they are more restrictive than straight barbs. I'd personally go for barbs.

Yeah those black heat-sinks run hot, although most cases have a 120 mm fan nearby that does OK once there's no cpu tower in the way.
I've seen those Koolance blocks used on a small tube side loop using the swiftech F fittings.
Been trying to make my own custom blocks for there but it's hard to fit in 3/8 or 1/2 inch barbs. A lot easier to come up with alternative AC heat-sinks that make good contact and cover all the chips. Those black ones miss a couple and have very poor contact mid block. If you lift them you'll see the TIM not touching in the middle. It's made worse if cpu block mounting bows the board at all, too.

black heat sinks?

yeah the seperate loop sounds like an idea or the F connector. good point !

i am going to be buying an mcw30 soon as possible for the north chip. it runs very toasty

15/11mm tubing is 15mm OD and 11mm ID.

black heat sinks?

My bad
My nieces were talking to me while I was looking and posting and I confused your Asus with the nvidia reference board.

11mm is about the same as 7/16"

EK makes a set of blocks for that board - why not use them rather than the Koolance ones? I am planning a similar loop that will use 7/16" for the CPU/GPU and use 1/4" (on 10mm compression fittings) for the mosfets/NB/SB using Switech F-pieces to split off from the main line.

ps not using hose clips no matter how tight the tubing fit is asking for it in my opinion! :D
