pump-compressor same thing.
No they are not, you need to go by correct terminology start by buying Book or go to library for book on refrigeration.

Same thing I've been saying about the DRY ice forum, Dice is for games like yatzie, DRY-ice is the solid state of CO2.

pump-compressor same thing.
"Pump" refers to the compression chambers or part of the lubrication system in the compressor. The whole compressor includes a refrigerant pump, oil pump, and motor.
In more advanced systems, there can also be auxiliary pumps to boost liquid line pressure. They can make up for pressure drop in rising liquid lines or compensate for low condensing temperature operation.

Pump does not compress, compressors does. Main difference.

Pump does not compress, compressors does. Main difference.
But doesn't a bicycle pump compress air? And doesn't a vacuum pump compress residual gases to atmospheric pressure?

Uh, pumps can compress, and compressors can pump.

a pump is a machine whit the purpose of getting a medium from point A to B, this may also involve putting a little pressure on it to get it from point A to B.
a compressor is a machine whit the purpose of putting a medium under pressure, this may also involve getting the medium from a point that isn’t under pressure to a point that its under pressure
to identify the compressor it would be handy to get a picture of the compressor it self and a picture of the coding on it

A pump is a device used to move liquids or slurries. A pump moves liquids from lower pressure to higher pressure, and overcomes this difference in pressure by adding energy to the system (such as a water system). A gas pump is generally called a compressor, except in very low pressure-rise applications, such as in heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning, the equipment is known as fans or blowers.
This quote was from wikipedia.
I will post a pic of the pump later but it wont help anything. Ive searched samsungs website and came up with no results that match the model# the closest thing starts with a d not a c. I think it dosnt show up because it was a water cooler. The pumps on the site for a water cooler were max 85 watts. So I dont think it will be enough. I may still try it but I am looking for a freezer.

OK I found another label. It says.
Model F323KB043-RW115 Volts 115ac 60hz PH 1 Amps 1.7 serial# 1A05H06173 High side 250psi Low side 100psi R134a 37 grams.
Would the PH 1 be 1 horse?
I will post pics but I need to wait for my roommates camera for extreme close up.

Encyclopedia Britannica.
Pumps are classified by how they transfer energy to the fluid. The basic methods are volume displacement, addition of kinetic energy, and use of electromagnetic force. Pumps in which displacement is accomplished mechanically are called positive displacement pumps. Kinetic pumps pass kinetic energy to the fluid by means of a rapidly rotating impeller (blade). To use electromagnetic force, the fluid being pumped must be a good electrical conductor. Pumps used to transport or pressurize gases are called compressors, blowers, or fans.
Webster dictionary
Main Entry: 1pump
Pronunciation: 'p&mp
Function: noun

1 : a device that raises, transfers, delivers, or compresses fluids or that attenuates gases especially by suction or pressure or both
2 : HEART
3 : an act or the process of pumping
4 : an energy source (as light) for pumping atoms or molecules
5 : a biological mechanism by which atoms, ions, or molecules are transported across cell membranes -- compare SODIUM PUMP
Main Entry: com·pres·sor

Looks like small but seems Samsung only makes rotarys now. My guess is that its a sub 100 watt motor so a small (less then 1/6hp) compressor.

A freezer one may be even weaker, possibly 1/10th HP. You have a compressor with a 195 watt power draw. At most you can expect is about 1/5HP.
1PH refers to the fact that the compressor runs on Single Phase AC
