I got my e6400 several months back and was kind of bummed out that it maxed out at 3.2GHZ, or so I thought.

I upgraded my ram to the G.Skill HZ's and noticed something while in the bios.

I had somehow thought the bios voltage was 1.50 volts when it actually was at 1.350 volts

Up to 3350 @ 1.37volts right now.

I am an idiot, anybody ever done something similar?

On the DS3 it is very obvious what the VCORE is, 2 keystrokes from the main BIOS selection and you have the voltage selections. It doesn't take a geek to understand this.. keep pushing those clocks man, DS3 clocks really well with the newer BIOS files :)

Don't feel bad...we've all done stupid things. I was building a new Conroe rig and thought I had a dead mobo (P5WDH). I went thru the trouble of exchanging it and same symptoms...thought I had another dead mobo...My smart Azz son comes down cause he hears me bumming and says "wouldn't it be easier to see what's going on if you turn the monitor on" ?

Arrrgggghhhhh
