This is common with this mb. Play with your NB voltage in bios and should fix it. Or u can just not overclock fsb but i dont think thats an option lol. Try 1.4 ,1.5 and 1.6 for northbridge volts. One of these should fix the problem until u reboot again lol.

There is the same problem with gigabyte DS3. Upping PCI-E voltage by 0.1 and PCIE freq (to 105 MHz) resolves it.

IF you can't get it working right. Once you are done O/C'ing. Just remove the videocard. Then try to power it up. Shut it down. Then place videocard back in. That always seems to work for me.

In P5B Dlx what is the equivalent of PCI-e voltage? I only see CPUV, FSBV, NBV, SBV, & ICHV, sorry newb here.

I dont believe there is pci-e voltage adjustment for p5b but i might be wrong. Also try to adjust pci frequency up tp 105 but i would not go higher. LOL this brings back memories. Once i got it to stick at 16x i never shut the thing off again for months till i got a commando.

LOL, actually man its annoying to see to it every time I do a restart to check the link width, damn Ive got to replace this mobo with P35 perhaps?

I dont know brother. I got MB coming out of my yingyang over here using them as door stops. I would wait on the p35 it has a few issues also. I got real lucky with this commando. Running my x6800 at 4gig 1.575 vcore fsb at 500 1.1 4.4.4.8 and it is rock stable. Never shuts off for 2 months now.

I've run into this problem occasionally. Usually while trying to squeeze more speed out of my system. Try lowering the NB volts .. 1.55 is the sweetspot for my machine. 1.45 is too low for stablity with my OC but 1.65 results in 1x pcie. A fan blowing directly on the NB helped a lot. Also, you'll need to do a hard reboot to get it to reset.

thanks, I will try 1.55V.
for me it first worked by upping NB 1.45, then it didnt, then 110mhz pci fixed it foreever :)
we can call it the P5B syndrom :)

1,45 NB and 1,6 SB worked for me on P5B Dlx, TRY that
