Hi, i'm thinking of building a PCS but i'm not licenced to handle refrigerants. If i took it to a shop to get it filled, what details should I give them? Should I tell them the superheat I need?

you dont need license to handle regular refrigerants

Yes you do, unless you call propane or butane a regular refrigerant.
You need to bring the heatload with you and have them charge on it, as in, bring them your computer, mount the unit, and tell them to charge the unit to the lowest temp of the evaporator without floodback at the compressor while the comp runs orthos.

Sorry but does "PCS" stand for Phase Change System  ? Just a random guess...

Yeah sorry :P
Thanks for the advice, once built i'll take my system in and get them to do that. Out of intrest, do you think I should OC it first then take it it?

You should not be able to, you are most likely buying illegally.

License or not, unless you are willing to spend $230+ to buy in quantity your choices of refrigerants are limited anyway.
Ask friends and family if they know someone that does HVAC work. Get in contact and ask if they can stop by and charge the rig for you. They will have everything needed on the service truck, pump, nitrogen etc.
My rig fully loaded and assembled weighs in at well over 100lbs, transporting it in a lifted 4X isn't something I am too keen on. I'm a mechanic, run my own shop so I already have everything needed to charge a system, just not interested in buying R507 because I won't use that much. I've also made a few computer sales just by getting someone to charge my system so make sure your rig looks decent when someone is helping you work on it.

Not all countries have the same laws guys, some places you can buy any thing out in the open market. Just like how your EPA has zero power or recognition here, and Our licences probably has no power in the US.
